Fundraising and Logo Policy
The JBYHA Board of Directors has adopted the following policy regarding fundraising and the use of logos belonging to the Jacksonville Barracudas Youth Hockey Association, a 501(c) 3 association.
The names Jacksonville Barracudas Youth Hockey Association JBYHA, Jacksonville Barracudas, Junior Barracudas, Barracuda Travel Hockey, Jacksonville Storm Youth Hockey Association JSYHA (prior name), the JSYHA logo and the Barracuda Logo may not be used or reproduced without the expressed, written consent of the Barracuda Travel Hockey, and Board of Directors. Persons are specifically denied the use of these for fundraising purposes without first submitting the proposed fundraising plan, along with samples of fundraising materials, to the Board of Directors for approval.
Individuals attempting to raise funds for the use of individual JBYHA teams are advised that they may not use the JBYHA Federal Tax Exempt Identification Number or the State of Florida, Not-for-Profit Corporation Registration Number without prior approval from the Board of Directors. Any funds collected using these numbers must be deposited into the JBYHA accounts and be controlled by the JBYHA House or Travel Treasurer. All Disbursements shall meet all federal and state regulations concerning the use of 501(c) 3 corporation funds. Individual teams meeting applicable laws and regulations and receiving authorization to utilize the Associations 501 (c) 3 status will be required to pay to the Association appropriate fees to offset the accounting and bookkeeping expenses incurred to assure full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Persons raising funds for individual teams and not utilizing the accounts of the JSYHA are reminded that federal and state laws and regulations control the collection and use of donations and significant penalties can be incurred for failing to fully comply with such regulations.
Any questions regarding this should be directed to the Board of Directors.
