JAY GATTO, Squirt Coach – USA Hockey Level 3
Jay Gatto has been on the ice with a hockey stick, since he was 6 years old where he grew up in Cumberland, RI. Jay is an avid New England Sports Fan who follows the Bruins, Red Sox and the other Boston teams. Jay played High School hockey at Cumberland High for the Clippers and went on to play College Hockey at Fairfield University in Connecticut where he graduated in 1984. The Gatto’s are very active in the Jacksonville Hockey scene. His three boys Jake, Dillon & Connor all play in travel programs. They also have daughter and hockey sister Kate who is also very athletic. Jay’s wife Kathie is a member of the SAHOF Hockey Board for the State of Florida. Jay is a go-to-guy for any coaching help around the Jacksonville Hockey community for both Travel and House Programs.
SERGE LAMARRE, Mite & Squirt Coach – USA Hockey Level 3
Serge Lamarre grew up in Québec City, Canada playing hockey on AA teams through the Midget level. At the age of 16, he got invited to Granby Bison’s training camp, a QMJHL team. He made the team as an alternative/extra defenseman but decided to play for a AAA College team instead to put more emphasis on education. Serge played 2 years as a defenseman on that team. He also played another 2 years for a Junior Tier II AAA team while getting is Bachelor’s degree at Laval University. Serge got nominated 2 years in a row to participate in the All-Star game. Serge has been coaching defenseman and running practices for the last three years in Jacksonville for the “Learn to skate program”, “Travel Mites” and the “House Squirt” teams. Serge works for a food broker in Jacksonville as a software engineer. Serge has a Master degree in Software Engineering, He and his wife Marie-Josée have 2 children, a daughter who is on a swim team and a son who loves playing hockey.

PAUL J. LYNCH, PW Head Coach – USA Hockey Level 4
Paul Lynch has been involved with youth hockey in North Florida for 14 years. He has at one time or another been a Head Coach or Assistant on every level from Hockey 101 to Midgets. He has also been involved in the Travel Program and as Head Coach has lead the Barracudas for the last 6 Years… first through Mites, then Squirts and now Pee Wee, accompanied by his son Timmy along the way. In 2004 Paul was the Head Coach of the Jacksonville Hurricanes high school hockey team. Paul was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He and Karen have three sons, Eric, Ryan, and Timmy, who have all been active with The Barracudas and the NFHA.

JOE MUSA, Mite & Squirt Coach – USA Hockey Level 3
Joe has been coaching Youth hockey for the last 10 years, but he has been a part of the Jacksonville Hockey scene for much longer. Joe was the leading scorer for the Jacksonville Bullets Minor League Hockey Team from 1993-1995. He was the Player of The Year for the Sunshine Hockey League as a member of the Bullets in 1993, and is the all time leading scorer in that league. Prior to that, Joe played college hockey at Western New England College, graduating in 1992. There he was twice a First Team All Star and was the 1991-1992 East Coast Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Year. He is still Western New England Colleges all time leading scorer with 83 G, 95 A in 82 Games. Joe has also played hockey professionally in Europe and with the Flint Bulldogs. Joe was born in Springfield, MA. and he is a Dr. of Chiropractic medicine. Joe and his wife Mary Anne have 6 Children.

PETER ROSSI, Squirt Head Coach – USA Hockey Level 3
This is Coach Pete’s 2nd season with the Cudas. Pete grew up in New Jersey where he played high level Prep School hockey at Princeton Day School. He was named to the all Prep team for his 4 consecutive years there. Pete was also a 3 time representative of the Atlantic District at the USA Hockey Select Festival. He played college hockey for 4 years at Lebanon Valley College in Pennsylvania where he graduated in 2008. Since living in the Jacksonville area Pete has Coached the Barracuda Squirts and was also coach of the Storm 2000′s AAA team. Pete is in the process of obtaining his Law degree.
